WHO ARE WE?
We are an independent book publisher based in Oslo, Norway.
Our current focus is our revolutionary #charactHer book series of gender-swapped literary classics, which we are extremely excited about.
ANABEL HAFSTAD
Founder of newways publishing and creator of the #charactHer book series. Author of 'On Having a Body' - and a futuristic scifi novel currently in the making.
Anabel was born and raised in Switzerland and lives in Oslo, Norway. She has a BA degree in English Literature as well as an MA degree in North American Studies.

She's really, really into books. She cares a lot about the deep questions of the past and the future, the planet and life, and how to live fully immersed in the present.
Professionally, Anabel is a hopeless book addict gone search engine optimization specialist, Emotionally, you’ll find her replenishing in a cottage with her favorite person and a wild little sausage dog, observing mosses and mice and roaming the woods in her yellow rain boots.

THEA
Co-Founder of newways publishing. Project manager, fellow envisioner, darer, and advocate for new ways.
Thea is an advisor for an academic institution in Oslo. She is also really, really into books.... obviously.
She has an obsessive thing for emerging concepts, such as digital minimalism, the attention economy, and how to find a well of deep focus in a world spiked with distractions.

Cut through the noise and focus on the core of life. That's her mantra. That's what she's all about. That and plants - because this is (if you haven't already grasped this from her picture) the best gift you could give her: yet another plant.
THE IDEA OF NEWWAYS
We aim to publish books that urge you to read and see and understand the world in new ways.
In times that require revolutionary thinking and deep-rooted change on a massive scale we are interested, quite literally, in advocating new ways. New ways of living and thinking. New ways of doing and seeing and tasting life.
We want to know what it means to live a good life for the generations that are to come. We want to know how to be good to ourselves, and to each other.
This is the sort of content we want to promote. This is what we dream of publishing on a larger scale.
